Credit derivatives terminology

CDX.NA: One of indices in credit default swaps market, consisting of several North American names. Under the main index, there are several sub-indices, such as CDX.NA.IG (investment grade names), CDX.NA.HY (speculative grade entities), CDX.NA.XO (entities that cross over recently from the investment grade category), etc. There are several sector wise sub-indices also.
