Credit derivatives terminology

Notice of Intended Physical Settlement:  A notice given by the protection buyer to the protection seller on the happening of a credit event irrevocably notifying the protection seller that the protection buyer intends to do a physical settlement, and giving particulars of the obligations that the protection buyer intends to delivery.
