Credit derivatives terminology

1988 capital regulations: The bank capital adequacy regulations of Bank for International Settlements that were finalised in 1988 and that formed the basis of bank capital requirements in most countries until Basle II gets implemented. Also referred to as Basle regulations. See also Bank for International Settlements, Basle II.
